Susan Grieve, Partner

Susan graduated with a BA Degree from Napier University in Hospitality Management and is a Graduate Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development. Susan worked in a number of 5 star hotels before joining Schlumberger in Human Resources Management. Susan specialised in recruitment and training and gained extensive practitioner experience of working with a wide range of people from both community and business backgrounds.

Susan is a founding partner in the Rural Development Company and has been involved with a number of evaluations of community development initiatives and has particular skills and experience in drawing evidence from the community level. Susan’s facilitation and interviewing skills have been enhanced by her ability to build relationships and gain trust from and through working with communities.

Susan was contracted as the UK Leader+ Network Events Manager for 4 years where she organised thirteen residential conferences and numerous one day workshops and business meetings. Since the end of the Leader+ programme Susan has been successful in securing further event management contracts including the ‘Fourth International Symposium on Career Development and Public Planning’ on behalf of Careers Scotland and the ‘Conservation of Atlantic Salmon in Scotland Conference’ hosted by Scottish Natural Heritage.
